Ethics are a set of moral conducts that define an individual’s principles and rules of conduct. Bart (2011) explains trust plays a significant role in creating an ethical environment in the workplace. Ethical environments with a foundation of trust make sure to articulate a proper code of ethics, and employ ethics in processes like hiring, role descriptions, training, development, and performance management systems. The previous organization I worked for made good attempts at following these suggestions. It was very easy for the company to align the workers towards a common goal and maintain good organizational culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Benefit corporations help create value to stakeholders and public benefits of a company by creating a solid foundation that aims for profit maximization through value creation and aligning the company to its mission. Benefit corporations are legal and perform these tasks through acts like changing leadership, evaluating different options for liquidity, and potential sale for flexibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Benefit corporations make sure to measure their impact on society and the environment and maintain transparency through annual reports. I would be more inclined to work for such a corporation since it not only assures the continuity of business, it also aims for minimal environmental degradation. The term company culture describes the shared values, goals, practices, and attitudes that define a company (Feldman, 2019). Cultures in different organizations make use of the most appropriate of culture that best fit their line of work and can facilitate better decision making and management. Organizational cultures can either be adhocracy, hierarchy, clan, or market cultures. Although the clan culture is the most efficient to generate a level of trust between the managers and employees, the hierarchy culture is the most appropriate for large organizations. Each employee has a specific position in the chain of command and knows their roles. This culture is efficient in risk management and stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
