I argued that my work was more tasking than her own, and I deserved rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; My wife did not do any chores until I helped and argued that she was feeling disrespected, and though her work was not as tasking, she also got tired and sometimes required help to clean up. The whole argument went on for a long while since none of us was willing to give in and lose the argument. After analyzing the amount of work, I left my wife alone. I felt that it was unfair. Both of us deserved to rest on the weekend regardless of what type of job we do during the week. After talking, we decided that hiring help for the weekend would benefit us, and both of us would get to rest. This type of negotiation process is known as bridge solutions. Bridging is a style where arguing parties create a new solution to help deal with the situation at hand (Haefner, 2016). The collaborative negotiation style works to bring conflicting parties to have a common goal in mind and works to get them together on solving a problem (Ouali et al., 2017).
