Working with Tableau

Working with Tableau

Do you have any prior experience with data analysis or visualization?

I have past knowledge of data analytics and visualizing software. During my internship program, I was exposed to business analytics, which involved evaluating financial information to acquire ideas and make choices. During this program, I was introduced to Tableau as well as other information visualizing technologies such as Google Data Studio and Power BI.

If yes, what tools did you see, and how was it similar or different from what you used here? Explain.

In my perspective, I’ve consistently liked Tableau over other programs due to the different features the program has for presenting the information. Eventually, Tableau visually delivers a clearer comprehension of information and is much quicker to utilize than the other programs I’ve explored. All three programs I’ve utilized can visually assist users in understanding the information they deliver, giving you several alternatives for presenting data, such as tables and graphs. The main difference between google data studio and Tableau is that Data Studio is an information visualizing platform that is entirely cloud-based (Pedamkar, 2021). Tableau has a cloud option for its software, but it is more commonly utilized as a computer program. It provides on-premises information storage for businesses with strict privacy rules. Both technologies include completely incorporated and verified native data interfaces. When it pertains to information visualizations and building dynamic graphs, displays, and analyses that provide exceptional views into information, Power BI is extremely akin to Tableau. In contrast, Power BI is significantly more complex to utilize, but it can get similar outcomes for the most part (Rungta, 2021).

Share any insights or thoughts you have about the assignment. This could be related to the data analysis or results itself, or it could be about your experience using Tableau. For example, if you could choose to change one aspect of your visuals, what would you change and why?

I really liked Module Four’s assignment and learning to utilize Tableau. I’m highly fascinated in data analytics and visualizing technologies; thus, this assignment was ideal for me. I intend to utilize this program more frequently in class. I think if I could modify one thing regarding my visualizations, it could be to personalize them rather than simply generating simple bar graphs to display facts. I was certain to put only relevant data on my visualizations, but in the future, I would like to develop superior graphs visually in order to pique the curiosity of relevant individuals.
