Self- Assessment
What did you learn about yourself? What stressors and or/ hassles do you recognize in your life? What measures can you take in order to lower your stress and optimize your health and well-being? How will this enable you to become a more productive student?
Humans all encounter anxiety for different rationales because they experience frustrating everyday scenarios, both in their professional and individual lives. These occurrences can be uncontrollable, unclear and can stress people because they feel they do not have influence over these circumstances. I examined my complete life’s occurrences and discovered certain patterns. I’ve understood the habits that interest me the most. These are some of the behaviors I may require to modify in order to conform to social standards and achieve self-fulfillment. Avoiding excessive alcohol consumption, for instance, or adopting a dormant lifestyle. I have enhanced these types of behavioral patterns in order to enhance my life. External and internal disruptions that impair one’s achievement or overall life activity are referred to as stress factors and life hassles.
Many stress factors and hassles have occurred in my existence, such as encountering a traffic jam while attending usual school lessons, great expectations of university associates from me, the complicated structures of my university, the anxiousness of being in any social setting such as a university party, and non-recognition by many peers. These variables made me anxious. To deal with this stress, I have three options: relaxation strategies such as Jacobson’s stress relief strategies, perceptual reorganization by challenging pessimistic opinions with objectivity and interacting in active visuals. These strategies may result in optimized health and well-being. Involvement in effective imagination encourages someone to participate in actions that pose a threat, such as anxiety from social environments. Relaxation soothes the physical body and alleviates stress. Correspondingly, cognitive reorganization aims to substitute unpleasant and strange thoughts with desirable and healthy thoughts. As a result, I will be able to be a more constructive student, which will benefit my school achievement.
