My philosophy delves into a variety of topics, including what nursing implies to me and what drives my aspirations and practice. I chose nursing as a profession since it is a vocation that enables an individual to socialize with others and experience life from a perspective other than their own. In other words, I regarded nursing because it allows me to comprehend better what other individuals go through and how I can assist them in any situation. I also found this profession a noble vocation because of the care and compassion with greater comprehension for individuals, irrespective of any dissonances. Furthermore, the current nursing education framework provides more opportunities to comprehend medical procedures extensively.

Many scholars have investigated the concerns of nursing and what is its core in healthcare. Most of these scholars argue that caring is the core of nursing since it distinguishes it from other medical care disciplines.  Nevertheless, the majority of nurses disagree with this declaration. Personally, I concur with scholars who believe that caring is the core of nursing (Fahrenwald et al., 2005).

I believe that the focus of nursing is to guarantee patient safety and offer quality services to ensure client satisfaction.  Effective nursing care is crucial for avoiding readmissions and guaranteeing that clients effectively explore the numerous hand-offs that take place during their stay.

My vision as a nurse is to further my studies to attain a master’s degree. Perhaps the most important reason I would return to school is to progress in my profession and enhance my job potential. An MSN will enable me to expand and develop a more in-depth comprehension of the clinical vocation and my area of specialism.

To live out my personal nursing philosophy, I need to remind myself of the suffering the patients undergo while in the medical setting. Many patients in hospitals watch impotently from their beds as caregivers walk by without offering any assistance to them. They only see individuals who do not appear to be concerned about their necessities.

I believe that the nursing profession investigates the well-being of sufferers through the treatment offered by nurses. I believe that I must assist in the management of physical needs, the prevention of diseases, and the treatment of health situations. I believe that it is critical to offer care and assistance to individuals who have sick family members by meeting their basic needs during challenging moments. I presume that I must show empathy, generosity, and regard to both patients and their relatives in my personal nursing profession.

Nursing, in my opinion, is an interrelated field that necessitates greater collaborative efforts and team spirit. For instance, doctors and nurses must work together to provide stronger patient treatment. Without cooperation, care will be substandard, potentially leading to death (Zaccagnini & Pechacek, 2019). Furthermore, as a nurse, I believe that collaboration among nurses is essential for providing better care.

My Health: What you believe about your own health. Provide explanation. (10 points)

I comprehend that if a nurse is not healthy, they cannot offer exceptional services to patients. As a result, I take the notion of self-care in nursing very solemnly. I always take care of myself by guaranteeing that I obey the protocols of medical care organizations and do what it takes to safeguard myself from uncovering the body to ill-health. In other words, I presume that taking care of myself will allow me to assist others without feeling strained.
