2020 experienced a lot of race-rated protest and unrest in most regions. One of the major problems is police brutality, where police have racially abused a lot of people from minority groups. Another problem is discrimination in different areas like in work, schools and the society in general. During the pandemic, minority groups also faced more challenges than other groups. These problems include being fired from their jobs, among other economically related issues. Racial violence is also another major issue (Caliendo, 2021).
Plan
Logically, the number of people from minority groups has not been provided with similar opportunities as the whites, particularly on matters related to leadership and office selections. As a result, it will be important to focus on ensuring and achieving diversity in office selection to provide the same opportunities to all people and improve the participation of minority groups in leadership positions.
Training is also critical. Training will focus mainly on strategies designed to help society and its people understand how best to relate with each other and solve some of the most common issues and problems contributing to racial-related problems.
Reporting will focus mainly on the role of communication with responsible authorities in solving problems affecting racial relationships and causing any of the problems mentioned above. Generally, this strategy will help in preventing other problems affecting people based on their race, particularly when they are reported in the right and, most importantly, to the right authority.
Social media partner organizations play a critical role in affecting how people relate and, most importantly, responding to any challenges that the societies might be experiencing, particularly those contributing to racial-related problems. Working with these organizations will be easy for me as the local police chief and the society to develop measures and strategies that would help ensure effectiveness and positive outcomes in managing and responding to such problems.
Solution
Police Brutality
One of the best solutions to police brutality based on race will be punishments for the individuals involved. Logically, no person is above the law. As a result, if a policy is involved in behaviors that affect people from specific races negatively, then response measures must be taken to punish them and prevent such actions from happening again to other people (Carter, 2018).
Social Discrimination
Discrimination based on race can be solved best by developing laws and regulations that control and influence behaviors and responsibilities of different institutions and parties within the society in responding and limiting possible causes of discrimination.
Inequality among Races
The best solution, in this case, is based on education. The role of education, in this case, is to ensure the society understands that all people are the same ad should be provided with equal opportunities. This solution is focused on influencing the role of all people in consideration to general efforts that must be made and achieved to ensure effectiveness and positive outcomes in dealing with ethnic-related problems (Caliendo, 2021).
Suggested Changes, Outcomes, and Improvements
The suggestions made in this case have the potential to influence positive and desired outcomes in consideration to the relationships of people and, most importantly, the understanding of these problems and best ways to solve them. As a result, the suggestions have the potential to influence positive behaviors and actions that influences positive outcomes in dealing with this problem.
