Healthcare Policies
Policy competence is therefore having a high level of skill and knowledge regarding the process of making policies. Not only that but to also have an in-depth understanding of these policies where in our case are those that directly affect health service institutes and finally understanding the forces that can affect these processes and their outcomes (Longest, 2004).
Having assessed many of the policies today, I am most concerned about the policies in health insurance coverage. It is of importance to many because of the case of high out-of-pocket costs but it also should not be at the cost of high deductible plans (WHO, 2020).
To influence the policies in health insurance in the future, I would act as an advocate to patients in need of guidance and assistance and join organizations whose movements are in reforming and creating policies that better suit these patients.
