Health Care: discussion week 2

There are a lot of states in the country which have so far been successful in the implementation of various health care policies that have benefited various citizens in the country. These states have greatly assisted their residents and have worked to ensure that health care is a main priority. One of such states is Texas. The state of Texas is among the many states of the country that has a huge population. The population of families and children is big, and therefore there is need of having a health insurance program that fits the needs of Texans.

The insurance and Medicaid program are sponsored through two main programmes. The programs include the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which is aimed at assisting children who are found in Texas and do not have any kind of health insurance. The program assists such children in getting either free or low-cost insurance coverage (Gunja et al., 2017). Another program that is sponsored is the Health Insurance Premium Payment program. The program is aimed at helping families which have got at least one family member who received Medicaid.

The Texas health plan is rather different from that of other states since it focuses on the sponsoring of various programs, which is something that not all states implement. The state program of Texas is also different from that of other states because the plan that they are focused on is aimed at families and children who don’t have a means of getting proper health care. There are no geographic factors that are considered, but there are demographic factors. The demographic factors can be seen from the choice of the group of people that the program is focused on helping.
