Four Functions of Management

While many jobs and divisions within a firm are assigned particular activities depending on specialized expertise, skill, or corporate requirements, managers may be assigned a broader and more complicated range of duties. Management necessitates more than simply specific expertise; it requires the capacity to overcome myriad operational, organizational, and interpersonal problems while steering one’s organization to achieve diverse objectives.

As described, the four management functions are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. I’ve utilized all four aspects in my personal and professional life. As a parent with a son, I find myself using the four functions very frequently. When the son closes school due to the pandemic, he spends most of her time at home doing his studies. In my workplace, I work as a full-time employee.  As a result, I must strategically arrange our schedule, plan our recipes for the month, and ensure that tasks are performed on time. I need to keep an eye on my son to ensure that he pays the utmost attention in the classroom and using his laptop. At the workplace, I assist managers in implementing the POLC paradigm.

I the workplace, I collaborate with the management to assist them efficiently assess the staff member’s productivity. I teach executives that being a successful manager requires developing a strategy for their workers’ goals and actions and then allocating resources accordingly. I emphasize that they must lead the workers for the T&B program to be effective. I also apply the POLC approach when interacting with the managers. In my perspective, I believe that no function needs more training than the other. I think I may benefit from extra learning in the control function. Planning and leadership are two of my most outstanding skills. I’ve discovered that I am extremely organized and create strategies, schedules, and procedures for everything in my personal and professional life. I set a good example for my colleagues and prefer operating in the frontlines with them. I endeavour to deliver the most excellent client service to everyone I assist.
