Evaluation tools
There are a variety of tools, which can be used to benchmark the performance of a teacher. In today’s technologically advanced society virtual systems can be used to determine the performance of teacher such as virtual podcast, webinars, or research-based strategies to improve cognition.

Social issues
The current society require teachers to have optimal understanding on current societal issues such as diversity, equality, and inclusivity of students. Spending sufficient time in training and engaging with people from different races with varying social standing that be instrumental in challenging one’s understanding social issues relating to race, culture, and diversity, among others.

Certification
Certification is the credential attained by an individual to show they have acquired specific set of skills to accomplish a given tasks. There are number of “thing” I want to achieve before obtaining my certification. First, I want to acquire all the necessary knowledge and skill that is congruent with my area of expertise. Ideally, the knowledge passed on from the teacher is critical in enabling me to be functional and productive once I have received my certification. More so, I will be have to have understanding on the fundamental of my area of interest, which is important when solving problem in the real work environment. Secondly, I want to volunteer in multiple organization or intuitions where my class-based knowledge can be tested in a work environment. Typically, before a student is certified they are required to internet for a few months to a year in order to gain work-based experience.
Participating in internship or volunteering toward in an organization is critical in enabling me to learn about how I can relate or engage with colleagues. The classroom setting provides the student with theoretical explanation and scenario, which lack practical experience. Hence some of the topics or lesson taught in class may not be properly understood until when one is exposed in a practical environment. Furthermore, interning before receiving my certification will be critical in enabling me deal with personal issues- like being social with people. I have often felt a challenge do engage with people or colleagues at a professional level. Therefore, I would like to improve on my “people” skills before being certified. Thirdly, I want to participate in various diversity and inclusivity training programs bore I come certified to practice my profession.
The world has social and culturally transformed significantly. Today, there is increased awareness and advocacy on the rights of minority communities. Therefore, it is important for people to be socially knowledge regarding how to relate and treat people with fairness with inclining to any form of discriminatory behaviours. For instance, an individuals can take up short training courses to understand issues relating to LGBTQ2+, police brutality, women empowerment, wage gap, and white privileges, among others. Experts have pointed out the importance of undertaking diversity training for future employees and employers. Stanford (2020) notes that diversity and inclusivity training enables an individual to have a proper understanding on the various perspectives impacting their colleagues. Hence, because such issue were not vehemently discussed in the school curriculum I felt the need to take extra diversity and inclusivity related courses before I gain my certification. Lastly, I would like to pursue additional course to supplement my major. This is important because having an additional or supplementary course can improve my chances in securing a job after receiving my certification.
