Subject: Change in Benefits

This is to address all the employees within the organization about the changes that are likely to occur in the benefits package. The majority of you have been gaining from the plan in the organization for an extended period, and it’s to make the necessary changes to support the long-term employee and increase the rate of retention. Those who have been working for the organization for the longest time need to be given a package that will fulfill their needs and appreciate their contribution towards the growth and development of the company. The adjustments to be made have included the needs of the employee, and it is within the management’s expectation that there will be a positive uptake. For the longest time, the company has been relying on a single benefit provider, and the contract has come to an end. The changes are taking place because there is a need to contract a new benefits provider, and there will be a different term of agreement and engagement (Baskar, 2015). Also, the adjustment is being spearheaded with the concerns raised by some of you on their coverage and the right to have options to select from at the moment and in the future. Therefore, we are informing you that your plea has been challenging, and the new benefit will consider some of those factors that have been raised.

One of the changes expected to occur is on the deduction options. The reason for creating the change is because there is a need to consider the income level of each employee. We understand that there is a variation in salaries and wages for the workers, and unlike the previous benefits, the deduction needs to change. Each option for deduction will be based on the taste and preference of an individual. In the previous package, the employees’ health coverage was not given an upper hand. Some adjustments have been made in the new premium where there is a health coverage program. There has been an increase in the cost of seeking medication, and some of you are spending a considerable sum of your income on health care. The organization has decided to create the needed change by looking for coverage with health care insurance. An individual will reduce the medical bill since the insurance will cover some. The focus will not only be on retirement plans since there is a need to include some of the requirements for employees, such as their health concerns at the moment (Basak and Khanna, 2017).

Additionally, the last package mainly focused on a benefit plan centered only on the future. The new framework’s creation aims to ensure that some of you are in a much better position to enjoy the gains now while some are being secured for the future. In that connection, the benefit plan has incorporated a wellness program for those who would want to take charge of their weight and other incentives such as gym membership. All of you are aware that exercise is essential since it makes the brain and the body active at all times apart from reducing the risk of another cardiovascular disease (Bordelois, Mustelier, and Zevallos, 2018). Therefore, apart from gaining individually, it is expected that the approach will increase the level of performance of each employee at the end. In general, the new changes that have been incorporated in the benefit plan aims are to create employees that are all-around and holistic in all aspects.

The benefits will be beneficial to all the employees in several ways. Since there are no reductions in the premium cost for the employee, it implies that you will not be digging deep into your pockets to meet the needs. Instead, it will be essential since there will be an increase in the number of benefits at the exact cost and rate. The personal needs of employees will have been addressed on an individual basis. More so, there is an additional reduction for the in-network usage. The gain is very crucial since there is an expansion on the bandwidth for the company the usage of interment will be much faster and reliable. Employees will benefit since they are placed in a situation where there is an increased level of performance through fast internet (Snell, Morris, and Bohlander, 2015). Communication through the network has been enhanced, and there will be an effective and efficient flow of information. In addition, there will be an increase in the level of performance of the workers since there is timely delivery of tasks, and operation can be scheduled through the creation of milestones (Kawiana et al., 2018). The attainment of the goals and aims of the organization will be a result of a combination of all the milestones achieved through the help of the enhanced in-network. The previous plan was not cost-effective for the “gold plan.” In the new benefit, their needs have been addressed since the number of services delivered has increased. Those who have been subscribed to the “gold plan,” especially executive team members, will yield the maximum at a much affordable plan, unlike what has been presented in the past. It is expected that the design will address the utility of each employee, and in the end, there will be an increase in the level of satisfaction.

The criteria used in the selection and determination of the benefit plan out of the many options that were presented aimed at offering the best. Selection of the most suitable has been made based on the employees’ needs to the management and the level of cost-efficiency. Therefore, it is important to notify you that not all the needs that have been discussed are included in the plan. For instance, the issue of cost has been a critical concern, but there will be no reductions on the rates for the premium apart from those who want to have access to the “gold plan” package since they might benefit from a small discount. More so, there are no options for improved eye care plan options as many might have anticipated, which the wellness program has replaced. The initiatives that have been offered are directed towards smoking cessation among those who have been affected (Hussain 2019). However, there is no cost reduction for the premiums for nonsmokers. All of the employees will make the same contribution, and the incentives are only for those willing to take advantage of the situation. The disabled might have expected a unique feature to address their needs, but there is no long-term or short–term coverage enhancement. In general, the benefits that have been provided with the coverage are expected to treat all the employees equally, and there will be no discrimination or exclusion.

Thank you for your time and I am looking forwards for the implementation and operationalization of the new benefit plan in the company.

Sincerely
