The following is a case analysis of land utilization with various rules in Miami, Florida, United States. Google Maps is the main source of data for the study. The two distinct scenarios were selected for educational objectives because the metropolis is a bustling location with a significant populace influx. The two samples utilized for the analysis are exceptional because the Park, which acts as a universal recreation facility, is situated in a bustling city.

The Dolphin Mall is home to a variety of eateries, grocery stores, insurance firms, health care facilities, leisure facilities, and other enterprises. The majority of the area here is taken up by elaborate home buildings. Fortunately, the mall offers a large parking area for its consumers. There are a couple of sections of grass along the walkways just next to the structure, as shown in the image below. Interestingly, this mall has a nice and inviting appearance; the majority of the plants, shrubs, and flowers are cultivated in separators approximately ten feet wide in front of the mall’s primary entryway. The image below depicts a part of the parking area, which is approximately 530 square feet. The setting is well established, with bushes and flowers surrounding it to provide a lovely scent.

The exact location of the commercial center was discovered utilizing Google Earth Street Photographs and the Google measuring application. Because the geographical area was large, the zone of concern was defined with lines, and the city was estimated electronically by the Google Maps application. The overall area measured 46,879.96 cubic meters. This is the total area occupied by the mall.

The images below depict a vast parking area situated around the mall. The parking enables more consumer admissions every hour in the mall. Because it is a complicated structure, the mall requires a large quantity of energy. The main energy consumers are elevators, escalators, air-conditioning units, restaurant refrigerators, and various automated bank devices. Furthermore, there is no visible evidence of generators, implying that the mall consumes a significant amount of electricity. Because most people and businesses utilize water, a large amount of water is projected to be damaged in a single day. Water is used for a variety of purposes, including consumption, sanitation, and cooking in eateries, as well as in bathrooms. The mall utilizes its complex water piping systems to drain the water into the city’s sewerage systems.

The Park’s aerial view is shown below. The Park is bordered by enormous amounts of waterways, with the Oleta River at its heart. The Park offers a vast range of leisure events, including boating, nature walks, bike rides, and diving on the coastlines that border it.

The Park covers a large area of roughly 6.21km2. It offers the clients ample parking since it has a parking area of about 320 square feet. The Park is mostly surrounded by deep forest, with only a few architectural structures. At function hosting, the majority of the structures in it are temporarily repurposed as a pavilion. Excess run-off water is typically discharged into the waterway in the center of the Park due to the area’s very steep grade. Water is crucial in this area because it promotes the development of grasses and other plants. In the drier period, the river also provides water for grass watering. In the Park, energy is majorly consumed by the Park’s lights and the few building structures in it.

The Park appears to be properly preserved, as there is no trash visible. Because there aren’t many structures in the region, energy usage is similarly low. Parks have historically kept the area under vegetation cover to increase the appeal of large cities.

How is the energy used?

The mall uses a lot of power for lights and mechanical operation. The more complicated a building’s construction and scale, the more energy it draws for use. In contrast to the Park, the Park’s lighting and the minimal architectural components utilize the most energy. As a result, the mall utilizes more energy than the Park.

How is the solid waste disposed of?

The mall utilizes the landfill to dispose of its solid wastes whereby a layer of soil is deposited after every later of the trash, while the Park utilizes waste compaction where containers and plastic bottles, for example, are compressed into blocks before being recycled.

How is the water used?

The mall’s complicated drainage piping arrangements discharge the water into the state’s sewerage facilities, whereas the Park collects surplus stormwater and stores it for future usage in the Park’s big water bodies. The mall utilizes water for a variety of purposes, including consumption, sanitation, and cooking in eateries, as well as in bathrooms, while the Park utilizes water for watering the grass and other vegetation.
