Brief description of my position and each of the five employees.
The project director serves as a significant person in an organization, for he oversees all the happenings in the organization. He acts as the person directing and holding the organization’s pieces together to enable the projects to work and run for the planned period. A nurse degree describes a person trained to take care of the sick or the injured. A degree in healthcare administration shows the capability of a professional to lead and manage healthcare systems, such as hospitals and large healthcare systems (Gottlieb & Shamain, 2012).
Employee one is a health nurse, which means that she cares for an entire population. She designs and helps in the implementation of health education campaigns and disease prevention activities. She also provides one-on-one, long-term health care for patients in their homes.
Employee 2 is a healthcare service provider like a nurse, and as a dietician, she creates diet and nutrition plans that are personalized to an individual’s goals and needs. (Nicholas & Pond, 2003).
Employee 3 performs administrative and clerical responsibilities, escalating high-level client issues to management, keeping the reception area clean, checking office supplies, responding to customer requests, managing customer questions, and forwarding essential calls to the proper department.
Employee 4 is an experienced employee with technical nursing skills gathered in her many years of working in healthcare agencies. Her primary duty is to give the patients emotional support and focus more on their mental health.
Employee 5 acts as a caregiver to the elderly. She ensures that they can go through their normal daily activities successfully and ensures they are clean. She works as a help to the elderly who cannot make it alone through the day.
How to meet the new budget restrictions.
In meeting the budget restriction, I will establish the actual position of the business concerning the induced new budget restriction. This positioning comes from evaluating the private cooperation grant and state funds’ income and expenditure, which stands as each employee’s salary. I will then compare the actual income to the budget. After knowing the organization’s position in terms of income and budget, we compare the two and calculate the variance. I will then get an action plan for the variance between the income and expenditure to enable its stability. The variance is $70000; therefore, there is a need to reduce the total spending by the same amount. The most viable decision is firing Mrs. Potter and reducing my salary by $5000.
Rationale for my choice?
Looking at the job descriptions, Mrs. Potter, Mr. Boone, and I have the same job description. Therefore relieving one member in this category would mean that the remaining will have added workload, but we would meet the budget restriction problem. Secondly, her salary was only $5000, shy of the restricted amount. She had a great experience but was soon retiring, and firing her would not affect her much because she had a wealthy husband compared o most employees who depended on their jobs to survive barely. My salary, on the other hand, was way above the remaining employees, therefore reducing it by a smaller percentage would not damage a great deal and would bring a closer balance to the other employees
Decision that would result in the least disruption of the agency and the employees in the agency
Firing Mrs. Potter and reducing my salary by %5000 works as the solution with the least disruption in the agency and employees. This is because firing her and reducing my salary only affects two employees ant the workload is also only on two employees. The other decisions would have led to more pay cuts on the employees. The other employees had specific roles that they were well acquainted with, and firing either of them would have created a gap in the services they provided in the organization.
Group decision-making be involved in fiscal decisions such as this one
Group decision-making gives room for the diverse strengths and expertise of the members of the group. This quality gives it the power to develop several alternatives to solve the presented issue and generate the best idea of the number of other options. For instance, there would have been several alternatives that would Suit the whole group without firing anyone in this case. They would have created calculations and the best decision of the options developed in the group discussion.
Fiscal decision and value judgement
A value judgment evaluates how wrong or right something is or how helpful something is compared to other related aspects. A value judgment is essential to consider in making decisions involving organizations before arriving at the final decision. Without focusing on a value judgment, decisions made have a higher possibility of harming the organization. It is essential to prioritize the persons with more excellent value in matters related to the firing. Without value judgment, there is a high possibility that we might fire the required personnel or fire someone without a backup plan, leaving us stranded when matters related to his line of duty strike the organization (Griffin, 1998).
