Description of the Technology, Equipment, and Design Elements I Would Use to Support the Sustainability of My Facility in the Future
First, I would consider choosing to design the office in a place that puts them in direct sight of that of patients. Having such a sight will improve the level of commitment to the doctor. Also, I would consider choosing to have various supplies and storage of papers containing patients’ information in some different areas. Choosing to do that promotes the provision of enough space that will allow the primary care doctor to easily conduct his or her duties.
I would also consider placing the doctor’s office away from that of the rest of the staff, which is necessary for reinforcing hierarchy. It would also be important to change the colour of the office and put one that is much more welcoming to the patients and anyone visiting the office. Enough chairs are also important for the office.
Explanation on how Designing a Community-Based Sustainable Health Care Facility Will Address the Needs of the Community Demographics of Your Facility
Designing a community-based sustainable health care facility happens to be the first step towards assisting members of the community. There are various problems that patients tend to face, and using a different design may just serve to sort out some of the problems, especially those that are linked to service delivery. Designing such a facility will also improve productivity which in turn serves to assist members of the community even more.
Having a community-based health care facility would mean having enough health care providers who will serve to eliminate the slow movement of patients, especially when they get to visit health care offices to indicate their problems (Benitez et al., 2019). Also, the health care facility will have enough equipment and will serve to avoid time wastage since all of the health care equipment will be easy to locate and identify.
Description of What I Would Have Done Differently While Planning My Facility
The major thing that I would have done differently would be to provide an additional examination room feature. The additional examination room feature would have all the necessary equipment and items, and there will be no time wastage by various providers in looking for items. The examination room will be easily accessible, and health care providers will even be able to locate items easily and know where every kind of item is.
Description of Successes Experienced
During the process of designing the facility, it provides a proper picture of what the facility might look like and makes it easy to make corrections even before the actual process of change begins. It also provides proper information on some of the problems that patients get to experience, which is essential in opening up the mind to new ideas that will assist them.
Description of Challenges Experienced
It is sometimes difficult to see eye to eye with patients, and therefore, some of the elements placed in the design may not entirely serve their purpose. Also, having to design would require proper knowledge of patients and the facility, which may take a lot of time even before the actual process of design begins.
What I Would Have Done Differently
I would have included more people during the process of design to assist in providing more information about patients and the facility. Taking such an approach limits time wastage. I would also take more time with patients and learn some of their problems.
