The Plot and Setting of the Film
The Hunger Games takes place in Panem, a dystopian that seems to be America following an unsuccessful movement by the underprivileged classes. Panem is structured into districts, while the film’s start provides little background concerning the other districts, instead focused on District 12. The film begins with an exposition to Katniss Everdeen, one of the film’s key actors and protagonists. Katniss is a 16-year-old teenager who wanders into the bushes in silence to search for sustenance for her household. In the bushes, she is meeting her buddy Gale, an elder adolescent. They are hunting partners as well as close buddies. The viewer rapidly discovers that it is a period termed as the reaping. During the reaping, two adolescents from each district are selected as representatives to compete in the Hunger Games (The hunger games, n.d.). The Hunger Games are a broadcasted battle to the death in which youngsters compete over each other. All teens in the districts from the years of 12 and 18 are a possible tribute, although every year, a youngster has an increased possibility of being selected in the reaping, such that an 18-year-old is more times most probable to be picked compared to a 12-year-old teenager. In the film, Katniss is preoccupied with her little sibling, Primrose (Prim), who has reached the age of 12 in which according to the norms of the districts, she is now ready for the reaping (The hunger games, n.d.).
Katniss is worried about her little sister, whom she had primarily nurtured five years ago after her dad’s demise. She soothes herself, though, with the knowledge that Prim’s chances of getting picked in the reaping are incredibly minimal. The exposition to the Hunger Games additionally discusses their importance in Panem’s culture. They are a technique of penalizing the districts for an insurrection that is not fully specified. It is evident that there were 13 districts at one time, but they all revolted over the Capitol (The hunger games, n.d.). The Capitol abolished District 13 and penalized the others by putting their kids in danger year after year. This is a method for the Capitol to maintain influence over the districts. Katniss accepts her place and participates in the competitions. While playing the contests, Katniss falls in affection with a guy named Peeta, but she is unsure whether it is genuine or a feature of the gameplay, and she is also unsure whether she likes Gale, an exceedingly great buddy back at the residence who has always been supporting her since the beginnings (ANFALIDRISSI, 2020).

Poverty
It is evident that Katniss and Peeta may be a well-known fictitious pair, but their relationship is not founded out of love. Rather, the duo’s relationship is formed as a result of their shared impoverishment. When they initially meet, she recalls him as the “kid with the bread,” who served a famished Katniss, an older, moldy loaf intended for animals (ANFALIDRISSI, 2020). The couple’s bond is fully anchored in their terrible deprivation, which is rarely forgotten throughout the Hunger Games plotline, regardless of how beautiful their attire or publicized their sentiments became.
Children welfare
It’s unsettling to consider that a Hollywood film contains a narrative in which teenagers are driven to murder others for fun. Nevertheless, the notion of a dishonest ruler efficiently using teenage combatants to wage warfare is not so much fetched, but instead, something witnessed in ordinary, non – fictitious reality. The series’ teenage warriors’ horrific situation is a challenging one to confront, and it is brought forward and center during The Hunger Games.
The primary purpose of the film
The Hunger Games serve two objectives: to amuse the Capitol and to educate the districts of the Capitol’s authority and its dearth of regret or repentance for the unsuccessful insurrection of the contemporary contenders’ ancestors.

The premise of the Hunger Games may appear to be a creative plot element, bringing excitement and action to a juvenile film, but it primarily aims to demonstrate the enormous authority and powers of a totalitarian regime. The unscrupulous President Snow holds Panem people in chronic starvation and deprivation; he utilizes them into participating in the Hunger Games by pledging a lifestyle of fortunes to the winner, but this makes residents too terrified to resist (Lamb, 2013).
Classism
The Panem Events favor people of better social standing, as the wealthier the district, the greater preparation tributes receive prior to entering the battlefield. This implies that there are youngsters of superior socioeconomic status who are prepared from infancy to win the Events, while impoverished youngsters may arrive with no combat experience. This doesn’t render the topmost class youngsters any less exploited than representatives like Katniss, but it reveals a structure meant to enrich the wealthy while leaving others in deprivation (The Hunger Games Mockingjay, 2013).
The observed leadership process as it relates the film to the class discussions.
I discovered that attributes associated with transformational leadership were utilized in the film. These are centered on a person who can motivate others by accomplishing transformation or a particular point of view. Katniss was determined to fight back to the Capitol and avoid becoming compelled to dwell on a particular lifestyle. By doing so, she showed courage and endangered her personal life several times to support the individuals. As she appeared in front of the Capitol, she encouraged individuals from all around the country to start fighting for their liberties as well. This type of leadership is portrayed in the class and other school aspects (The Hunger Games Mockingjay, 2013). Transformational leaders achieve beneficial outcomes, such as increased student involvement with their class subject and other educational interests. This form of leadership has positively impacted the student’s performance since transformational leaders permit them to make their own decisions. For example, the students can be given a specific set of guidelines to perform a certain project. Some can follow the given set of guidelines to achieve the results. Other teachers who have this form of leadership characteristics encourage their students to conduct further research and innovative approaches to achieve their desired results. This gives the student a chance to undertake further research, which in turn enhances their academic outcomes.
This leadership supports my understanding since a transformative school leader guarantees that pupils concentrate on their academics by being sensitive to personal differences and charismatic in persuading and motivating them. Rather than employing predefined problem-solving strategies, they collaborate with learners and educators to find remedies to challenges as they emerge. Transformational leaders in the classroom immediately recognize opportunities for advancement and explore out-of-the-box remedies. Through dialogue and personalized analysis, the leader uncovers cynicism and quitting intentions among educators. They reassure educators that they are necessary and appreciated by reshaping their attitudes and objectives with the institutions.
